The small town of Blue Earth, Minnesota is a special place — mainly because of the people who make up this community. I was introduced to Blue Earth 15 years ago when I became life-long friends with a few college buds who grew up in the small Southwestern community. Thanks to some great people I found myself in Blue Earth once again…
Back in August, I had the opportunity to photograph a wedding for a good friend’s sibling in Blue Earth, Minnesota. Admittedly, as a wedding photographer, whenever you know someone in the wedding party, or know the family from the past, it makes everything so much easier! Derek and Mackenzie’s families are simply amazing. The amount of great people I’ve met from this small community over the years is astonishing. For me it sort of restores faith in humanity in a way — how a town of only 3,000 people can be filled with so many great people, but also how a town of this size can leave such an great impression on a person:)
Thank you all who were involved in this wedding! It was an awesome experience. Like I mentioned before, Blue Earth knows how to party… There was no stopping that dance floor. I’m telling you, the dance floor at this wedding put a lot of big city weddings to shame 😉
Congrats to Derek + Mackenzie! You two not only have wonderful families, you also got yourself a wonderful community. Also, thanks to Dronie McDrone for keeping up with the wedding party boat cruise!
